Lake Atitlán is a body of water in a massive volcanic crater in Guatemala’s southwestern highlands. Ringed by steep, verdant hills, it’s known for its Mayan villages and volcanoes with striking pointed cones. Here the land is rich with history, culture, stories, and spiritual connection.

Acatenango is one of the highest volcanoes in Central America, almost 4000 meters high. Acatenango along with its twin volcano to the south, Volcán Fuego, overlooks the historic former capital city of Antigua, Guatemala

TIKAL ANCIENT CITY & FLORES
On April 30th, we fly from Guatemala City to Flores—a beautiful one-hour flight into the Petén region. From there, we travel by car and boat to our peaceful accommodations right on the water.

FLORES
Flores is a charming colonial town located in the Peter region of northern Guatemala, built on an island in the middle of Lake Peter Itza, and we still day there as it is the closest city to TIKAL, the ancient Mayan city.

• Airport: Aurora International Airport, Guatemala City
• Full Journey Participants:
• Preferred Arrival: April 20th,, before 12 PM
• Alternative: Arrive the day before (April 19th) — assistance available to find nearby accommodations so you’re ready for the shuttle the following day.

1. Full Journey Departure:
• Date: May 3rd morning
• Location: Departing from Antigua for the second part of the journey
2. Part 1 Only Departure(Lake Atitlán participants):
• If you are joining Part 1 only, a private driver will be arranged from Lake Atitlán to Aurora Airport on April 26th..
3. PART 1 +2 Departure:
Antigua> Airport - Order your own transport from the house, I will help you with that.

The Volcano Hike is challenging, just keep in mind of long hours hiking in high altitude. We will have local expirenced guides.
**Even if booking PRIVATE accommodations for PART 1, you are at shared accommodations for PART 2, you can book private Before and After Volcano directly with SELINA, where we staying for PART 2.
RETREAT POLICE
There is a NON-REFUNDABLE $500 for all reservations.
Full payment must be made 1 month prior retreat starts.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel 60 days before retreat starts, 50% be can be applied to another future retreat.
If you cancel within 30 days of the Retreat date, no refunds.
